MINDFULNESS
There are many pressures surrounding teenagers these days.
And sometimes they can feel isolated.
We can provide the understanding and support your child needs to express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.
We listen and help guide your child to understand feelings and emotions.
Children grow up very fast and are exposed to many different areas that sometimes are confronting and confusing.
Sometimes it helps for your child to have someone to talk to.
The teenage years can be very difficult for the parent and the child and having someone to listen to can ease their anxiety.
Your child has the opportunity to say out loud the things they may have difficulty expressing.
We use mindfulness as a way to help calm the active mind.
This allows awareness around thought patterns, reactions and behaviours that are automatic.
This has a positive response and creates new ways to deal with a situation.
Meditation is an important part to mindfulness because it allows us to bring our focus to breathing and bringing your attention back to your breath whenever your mind wanders.
Practicing increases our attention span and our ability to focus better.
Meditation and breathing reduces anxiety and stress and allows us to live in the present moment without worry.
Teenager Counselling
I am passionate about supporting teenagers to enjoy their teenage years.
Life is more complicated, stressful and they’re growing up much faster than I did.
Teenagers are more exposed to information, situations that they may not know how to navigate. They may also feel isolated and unable to talk with their parents.
I have two young teenagers and am experiencing things first hand. I want to provide support and a safe environment for adolescents to be able to talk about anything.
Social media has changed our world, the internet has made the world much smaller and more accessible to information.

So much is about self image, a perfect selfie, filtering out their perceived imperfections. Yes magazines have highlighted body image for years, however we did not have the same accessibility and exposure as teenagers today do.
Social media platforms means teenagers have access to anything around the clock. They’re pressured into doing things that they’re not ready for or fully understand. Bullying is at times for some relentless and they are unable to break free from this.
Teenagers are self harming, experimenting with drugs, suffering from eating disorders. These are usually stemmed from immense hurt for various reasons. What it comes down to that for whatever reason there are teenagers who are emotional and mentally suffering.
I want to support teenagers to live a more fulfilling life and be the best version of themselves through counselling, reiki healing and meditation. To empower them to find their happiness and meaning in their life.
